We got to Bangkok on Monday morning. But our luggage did not. Yeah, crap. After going back and forth to the airport, filling out paperwork, we got some compensation money from Jet Airways. Ok but we still don’t have our backpacks back. Its been 3 days now and that money wont cover it anymore. So while writing this we’re in a taxi on our way to the airport to rock the boat a bit. See if that’s going to get things moving a bit.
But all is not bad of course, we’re in sunny Thailand and had a great night out already here. We met Nathan, an Australian guy, and 2 Germans (Michael and Michael2) while sitting on Khoason Road having a beer. We had to get Nathan back to his guesthouse after doing some buckets of SangSom. That’s a cocktail of Coke, Red Bull (the Thai recipe) and Thai whisky. Not a bad first night.
We’re heading to Koh Tao tomorrow evening, by bus and boat. Over there we can be a more sportive then just going out and shopping. And Jo can get a bit of beachtime for herself.
On the 4th of February we got our flight to Perth, Australia. We’re flying out of Singapore so we got about a month here to make our way down. We still have quite some island-hopping to do before we start to work again in Australia.
The sunny Thai weather i was talking about has gone a bit to shit now, we’re in a massive downpour now still on our way to the airport. Glad we didn’t take a TukTuk,
